A multidisciplinary atelier based in Dubai founded in 2013 by Lebanese architect Fadi Sarieddine. Offering architectural and design services with a focus on furniture design, Sarieddine brings his rich architectural experience to his work by coupling form and function, delivering designs that appear alive in their bold lines and movement.
“Hey Banksy” is a tribute to the anonymous artist and all graffitists whose work combine art and social activity to spread their message across the world. The fixture is a literal depiction of a spray can, Banksy’s tool forcreation where the spray is represented as a glass cone with color sprayed in a gradation that fades out towards the rim creating an endless effect. The limited collection brings together a base made of marble and brass and a cone spray-painted with verses from Mahmoud Darwish’s poem ‘On This Land’, designed and calligraphed by Lebanese artist, Naji El-Mir.
Founded in 2013 by the Dubai-based Lebanese architect Fadi Sarieddine, the multidisciplinary atelier is dedicated to innovation in design across a wide spectrum of scale, media and context.
Continually challenging traditional design and examining it through new materials, applications and technologies, Sarieddine’s experimental approach to design is the springboard from which the studio explores the intersections of art, architecture, interiors and product design.
Be it a singular object that investigates the evolution of Middle Eastern design ideologies or large-scale residential, retail, hospitality and corporate projects that champion creative excellence in the region, the atelier treats each project as an opportunity for creative discovery and cultural storytelling.
Fadi Sarieddine Design Studio is located at Dubai Design District, Building Eight.
